MAURA ANDERSON has worked in independent film production since 2006.

She began at New York based Gigantic Pictures (GOODBYE SOLO, DARE, NIGHT CATCHES US). She went on to production manage Academy Award nominated WINTER’S BONE, Berlin’s best first feature winner ON THE ICE, Max Winkler’s CEREMONY starring Uma Thurman, NIGHT CATCHES US in competition at Sundance 2010 and produce WOULD YOU RATHER acquired by IFC Midnight.

Thus far she has produced upwards of 10 digital series for Fox Digital Studios, New Form Digital and WIGS, a joint venture of Jon Avnet (BLACK SWAN, FRIED GREEN TOMATOES) & Rodrigo Garcia (ALBERT NOBBS, HBO’S IN TREATMENT). Working with the likes of Julia Stiles, Anna Paquin, Mark Evan Jackson and Anna Akana. She continued with the WIGS team as EVP Production for Indigenous Media, a next generation digital studio before her feature directorial debut with HEARTLAND.

The film premiered at Cinequest Film Festival in March 2016 where it won the Audience Award for Narrative Drama. It went on to win several more audience awards and play at over 35 festivals worldwide before being distributed by Wolfe Video. Her second directorial feature starred Courtney Ford and was released in 2017. Maura went on to produce THE INNOCENT MAN, with Campfire Film & TV and Clay Tweel directing, a 6 part documentary series for Netflix which aired in December 2018.

She is currently producing another 4 part documentary series for Campfire Film & TV and Academy Award nominated director Kief Davidson that will air in 2020.
